The main purpose of this Society is to promote Porcelain dollmaking. There will be newsletters and festivals.  Support will be given for forming Mini Societies, Seminars, Organizing Shows and Competitions.  No officers were elected as each member is considered an asset to the group.  There is a coordinator based in Louisiana with Board Members in several different states.

We would like to say that UDS is a "nondenominational" group, that does not promote any one company's products.  Rather, we learn, experiment, and share with one another to find the best possible in the doll world.

The Universal Doll Society's 17th Annual Festival

The Universal Doll Society's 17th Annual Festival will be held in Punta Gorda, Florida beginning September 9 -12, 2013.  This year's Festival theme will be Simply Elegant.

Sunny Punta Gorda, Florida will be this year's new location.  We begin with a welcome party and festival registration for members and conclude with a banquet, awards ceremony announcing the winners of the doll competitions and UDS Auction.

Each day of the Festival will continue with the usual workshop and luncheon activities.

We will again be sponsoring the UDS Costume Challenge for registered members who dress a doll in a costume representing the theme of the Festival, Simply Elegant.
