The main purpose
of this Society is to promote
Porcelain dollmaking.
There will be newsletters and
festivals. Support will be
given for forming Mini
Societies, Seminars, Organizing
Shows and Competitions. No
officers were elected as each
member is considered an asset to
the group. There is a
coordinator based in Louisiana
with Board Members in several
different states.
We would like to
say that UDS is a
"nondenominational" group, that
does not promote any one
company's products.
Rather, we learn, experiment,
and share with one another to
find the best possible in the
doll world.

Adventures Along the Oregon
Trail - 2010
We are so
excited about this year’s
festival that we had to share.
So,
in an effort to keep everyone
informed about all the neat
stuff we have planned for this
year, jean and I have decided to
publish an
e-newsletter
from time to time.
UDS will
again meet in
Texarkana, Arkansas for the
2010 Festival.
Our
festival will begin on
Monday, October 11, 2010
with a welcoming party.
We
will start the business of
having fun on Tuesday morning
with the first paid workshop.
The
festival will continue through
Thursday, October 14
concluding with the presentation
of the doll competition awards,
and the auction.
We
want to encourage each of you to
start to think about what you
want to donate to the UDS
auction and/or raffle.
These items are always
appreciated, and in a future
edition of UDS e-news we will
tell you who to deliver your
items to, etc.
Also,
remember that the
Great
Mystic Mold Doll Show and Sale
will begin on
Friday,
October 15.
Steve has already lined up
several great people who will
give workshops and
demonstrations including our own
fearless leader,
Jean Castille, and of
course, you can “shop ‘till you
drop”.
Anyone interested in porcelain
doll making and the fellowship
of other makers are invited to
attend.

"Art is
born of the observation and
investigation of nature."

Porcelain Doll
Making is a wonderful experience
and can spread happiness, love and make
friends worldwide which then continues
on from one generation to another.
