Competition Rules and Information

Porcelain Dollmaking 

The purpose of this competition is an educational experience to critique Dolls for the growth of the entrant in dollmaking.

1.  Competition Cost Pre-Registered:: $10.00 for one doll $20.00 for 3 dolls, Late and Walk in Fee $15.00 Deadline to register dolls - September 01, 2008

2.  Each entry will be judge individually on it's own merit.

3.  Best of category winners must have 92 points or more to receive Best of Show Award.

4.  ANY MEMBER whose dues are current may enter the Competition but may not win the top awards unless registered  for the Festival.

5.  A 3x5 card must accompany all entries.  The card should have the name of the doll (Bru, AT, etc).  With information as to where the research was done, Mold#, Company and a picture if possible.  Do not have a lot of loose papers.  Put this in a clear plastic sheet protector.

6. Doll should be incised in the greenware stage with your name or initials and date on the back of the head.  (Cover incising with masking tape before it is entered).  On dolls entered for the Special awards, leave wig unglued n back so Chairman can verify what Company's mold it is.  You must state on you entry which doll is entered for any special awards.

(F) Original Dolls (Dolls must be sculpted by the artist)

1. Artist Original Model (Artist sculpted head, arm and legs)  
2. Artist Sculpted head only and used with other arms and legs.  
   
(G) Dolls without Bodies

2. Doll in Box (sometimes referred to as Jack-In-The-Box)  
3. Pins with Doll Faces  
4. Miscellaneous  
   
(H) People's Choice - Vote for your favorite doll  
   
(I) Small Dolls (8" or under)  
   
Special Awards: Advise person at the registrar's desk the category you are entering
